saturday salmon fest
Hello!! This past week has been quite stressful and crazy all around, so to take a chill day yesterday with my best friend and parents was really nice. (although it started off pretty rough and cranky.) In the fall, when salmon are old enough, they spawn upstream to lay their eggs. This is an awesome sight to see because it really is just an observation of mother nature. You would think you're hanging in a Chinese garden with a koi pond there's so many bright red fish. The water in the Tahoe and Truckee is crystal clear so you can really see all the bright fish. Really neat.
We brought bikes because it had a beautiful trail, and had a little photoshoot, naturally. But later in the day we stopped and got Mexican food at a little hole in the wall called Maya's Mexican grill in heavenly and it was super good. Just make sure you bring cash if you come to do any of this ;)
Here are some photos, enjoy! :)
